Today, Joe Trippi announced that Trippi and Associates is becoming Trippi, Norton, Rossmeissl Campaigns, with the addition of Julie Norton and elevation of Tom Rossmeissl as new firm partners. The expansion at the partner-level is in response to the continued growth of the firm following the upset victory of Doug Jones in the U.S. Senate Special Election in Alabama last December.
“From the moment I met Julie Norton 15 years ago I knew she was one of the most gifted communications and media strategists in our party. It took 15 years but I am finally fortunate enough to have her join me again and add her considerable skills to our firm as we are expanding,” said Trippi.
Julie Norton joins the firm after 15 years at SKDKnickerbocker, most recently as a Managing Director. Julie worked with Joe on the Howard Dean presidential campaign in Burlington, VT. In her tenure at SKDK, Julie provided strategic advice and produced countless ads for campaigns ranging from successful gun reform ballot measures to state and federal candidate and independent expenditure campaigns to DC-based issue advocacy and progressive and resistance movement politics. “In the years since Joe and I worked together on Howard Dean’s presidential campaign, I have watched him and his firm notch one impressive victory after another. Joe, Tom and I are aligned not only in our strategic approach to campaigns, but also in our shared vision for the firm. It is an exciting next step for me professionally and I look forward to what the future holds for Trippi, Norton, Rossmeissl Campaigns.”
Trippi continued, “A large part of our firm’s success in recent years from Jerry Brown to Seth Moulton, Ro Khanna and Doug Jones is due in no small part to the hard work and talents of Tom Rossmeissl who has been with the firm for 11 years. I am proud to add him as a rising star in our party and to the name of our firm.”
Tom Rossmeissl, a 12-year veteran of Trippi and Associates, said, “I’m thankful to Joe Trippi for his mentorship and proud to take this next step with the firm. It’s an honor to support so many incredible candidates and causes, and I look forward to continuing this important work as a Partner at Trippi, Norton, Rossmeissl Campaigns.” Tom currently serves as the firm’s Managing Director. Tom led the creative and production for Doug Jones’ historic victory. Previously, Tom has produced the media for dozens of successful candidate and initiative victories including for Governor Jerry Brown and Representatives Seth Moulton, Ro Khanna, Tulsi Gabbard and Mark Takano. Tom recently founded the progressive organization Family Farm Action, which is working to amplify the voices of farmers and rural issues.
